Quilts for September classes
September! Just in time! The opening day for NCAA football is the opening day for quilting at my house. Of course, we never stopped quilting, but when the days get cooler and football is in the air, it is just natural to start planning another quilt. These pictures are of the quilts we are teaching in West Yellowstone in September. The first picture is the layout diagram for the Christmas Dishes (Dresden Plate) class quilt. last two are the Baby Bear Paw and Wild Mountain Rose quilts, which are being taught together because they use the same techniques. Here's the first block of the Christmas Dishes table-top quilt I designed for the Village Dry Goods quilt shop in Brigham City, Utah. I had so much fun making the queen size Candy Dishes quilt from Riley Blake fabric that I was eager to make another using this Dresden plate variation technique. The fabrics are different from the ones planned for our Heritage Quilt Workshop Christmas Dishes class kits, which are a little more formal.
