Quilts for September classes

September!  Just in time!  The opening day for NCAA football is the opening day for quilting at my house.  Of course, we never stopped quilting, but when the days get cooler and  football is in the air, it is just natural to start planning another quilt.  These pictures are of the quilts we are teaching in West Yellowstone in September.  The first picture is the layout diagram for the Christmas Dishes (Dresden Plate) class quilt.  last two are the Baby Bear Paw and Wild Mountain Rose quilts, which are   being taught together because they use the same techniques.  Check the class schedule and register on line at www.send-it-home.com

Here's the first block of the Christmas Dishes table-top quilt I designed for the Village Dry Goods quilt shop in Brigham City, Utah.  I had so much fun making the queen size Candy Dishes quilt from Riley Blake fabric that I was eager to make another using this Dresden plate variation technique.  The fabrics are different from the ones planned for our Heritage Quilt Workshop Christmas Dishes class kits, which are a little more formal.

The Pinecone Playhouse Baby Bear Paw Quilt
In West Yellowstone, Montana, the Main Gate to Yellowstone National Park from Idaho and points to the south  and west, there is lots to do and see, and folks come from all over the world for the adventure of seeing the geysers, bears, buffalo, and waterfalls.  From the Yellowstone Cutthroat trout to the wild roses and columbine, we have plenty of local  inspirations for quilt designs.  Some of our visitors are ready for Adventures in Quilting.  The Heritage Quilt Workshop is designed to offer quilt adventures to both the eager beginning quilter and the seasoned quilter. This site is designed to be a place where you can see photos of our workshop projects, ask questions, and access information about our quilt workshop and events.  We'll post links to other Yellowstone area shops and events, and we hope to serve as a jumping off point for all sorts of quilt adventures.
